- On a computer, click on one of the Naxos services from the UHMC Libraryʻs Search Us page.
- Navigate to the Playlist area and click “Sign Up” in the "Personal/Student" playlist account area.
- Create a login on the sign up page. This login, consisting of your email address and a custom password, then becomes your login for the app.

There are currently more than 11 million articles/chapters, a content base that is growing at a rate of almost 0.5 million additions per year.

New music database at the library!
Music Index is a comprehensive guide to music periodicals and literature featuring digitized content from 1970 to present. This database contains cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts of articles about music, musicians, and the music industry for more than 480 periodicals, as well as book reviews, obituaries, news, and selective coverage for more than 200 periodicals. The comprehensive coverage of the music field and every aspect of the classical and popular worlds of music makesMusic Index an invaluable resource for both novice and scholar.
New art database at the library!
A leading database for the study of art and architecture, this database provides full-text coverage of 380 periodicals and more than 220 books. In addition, Art & Architecture Complete offers cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for more than 780 academic journals, magazines and trade publications, as well as for over 230 books. The database also provides selective coverage for 70 additional publications and an Image Collection of over 63,000 images provided by Picture Desk and others.
Art & Architecture Complete has been designed for use by a diverse audience that includes art scholars, artists, designers, college students, and general researchers.

New Database: SocINDEX
SocINDEX™ is the world's most comprehensive and highest quality sociology research database. Its extensive scope and content provide users with a wealth of extremely useful information encompassing the broad spectrum of sociological study.
The database features more than 2.1 million records with subject headings from a 20,000+ term sociological thesaurus designed by subject experts and expert lexicographers. What is especially cool about SBO products for network administrators and software developers is that you can copy code snippets directly from your browser window and paste them into your live development environment.
Think of it this way when you visit Borders or Barnes and Noble, you flip through a handful of books and glean perhaps a bit of information here, a bit of information there, and so forth. On the other hand, with Safari Books Online you can run a keyword search across thousands of volumes, aggregating search results by relevance, by date, or by some other criterion of your choosing.

The PsycINFO , database, American Psychological Association’s (APA) renowned resource for abstracts of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, is the largest resource devoted to peer-reviewed literature in behavioral science and mental health. It contains approximately 3 million citations and summaries dating as far back as the 1600s with DOIs for over 1.4 million records. Journal coverage, which spans from the 1800s to present, includes international material selected from around 2,400 periodicals in dozens of languages.

Communication & Mass Media Complete provides the most robust, quality research solution in areas related to communication and mass media. CMMC incorporates the content of CommSearch (formerly produced by the National Communication Association) and Mass Media Articles Index (formerly produced by Penn State) along with numerous other journals in communication, mass media, and other closely-related fields of study to create a research and reference resource of unprecedented scope and depth encompassing the breadth of the communication discipline. CMMC offers cover-to-cover (“core”) indexing and abstracts for more than 550 journals, and selected (“priority”) coverage of nearly 200 more, for a combined coverage of 737 titles. Furthermore, this database includes full text for over 440 journals.
